Hello! Thank you for visiting my page. I’m glad you’re here!
My name is Yoojin Cho. I’m a TV news reporter at Time Warner Cable News in Charlotte, NC.
I moved to Charlotte from Springfield, Massachusetts where I worked for western Massachusetts’ #1 station, WWLP 22News, for more than 3 years.
Since I moved to the Queen City in 2015, this city has seen its fair share of major breaking news… stories including, but not limited to, Keith Scott’s shooting death that led to riots and protest, presidential candidates campaigning and the fallout that followed House Bill 2. And I’m proud to say I have been part of a team that covered all those stories extensively.
In Massachusetts, I covered the Boston Marathon bombings, MGM’s bid to build a casino in Springfield, a triple murder trial involving Hell’s Angels members and the sudden closing of the North Adams hospital.
My journalism career started on Martha’s Vineyard. Right after graduating from Boston University, I started working on the Vineyard as a video journalist for the Island’s weekly paper, the Martha’s Vineyard Times.
On the Island, I got a chance to serve as a local pool member for the White House Press Pool and covered the First Family’s vacation.
I grew up in Dallas, Texas. I was born in Seoul, South Korea.
I graduated Cum Laude with degrees in broadcast journalism and international relations from Boston University.
When I’m not out looking for stories to tell, I love trying new restaurants, jogging, kickboxing, cheering on my favorite Dallas (and sometimes New England) professional sports teams and spoiling my pup, Dobby.
