A Heartwarming Welcome Home

When I drove up Chicopee St to the “Welcome Home” ceremony for Sgt. Joshua Bouchard, I couldn’t find a parking spot. Literally hundreds of Granby residents were already there waiting for Josh’s arrival. I was simply in awe that so many people, friends of Josh or not, showed up to support him.

I’d say this was definitely one of the most heartwarming stories I’ve covered so far in western Massachusetts.

Watch my story here.

Who Doesn’t Love Puppies?

Right? Who doesn’t love puppies? Most people who have met me already know that I’m a huge dog person. I mean… To the point where I would say “hi” to every single dog I see when I’m out. To the point where I go find dog owners when I’m out doing MOS interviews.

So needless to say, every time we have Pet Corner or pet segments on Mass Appeal, I HAVE to go see the puppies they brought. This is what I found on Thursday:

All four pups are adoptable pups from Dakin Pioneer Valley Humane Society.

Love That Dirty Water

How can you resist this view? Even though I now live in western Massachusetts, I frequent Boston. You know, just pretending like I still live there. There’s something about that city that makes you fall in love with every good and bad thing.

For example, the T. Now it costs $2 for a ride? Ouch. Six years ago all outbound rides were free. However when I got on that squeaky trolley, I did breathe a sigh of relief and said “Ahhh public transportation.”

Funny to think five years ago I moved to Boston thinking it’ll be my temporary home while I’m in college. Now I can’t even imagine leaving New England!
